The first of three volumes Ghost of the Gulag volume 1 tells the ongoing story of an Amur Tiger and his Raven in the Russian far east. Scarred from a brutal upbringing in a Soviet gulag Prison camp a blind Amur Tiger is unwittingly drawn into a war between the Tribe of the Wolf and the Clan of the Boar. With the help of his companion raven the tiger, though blind, is the most formidable creature in the forest.

Thank you for your patience. Even though the comic was essential done, there was more work to do than I anticipated. First I hired an amazing Editor Elizabeth Smith to comb through my spelling and grammar. I want to book experience to be elevated from the online experience so many pages were repainted and redrawn. I expanded several pages into two page spreads. But the biggest delay came from the proofs. Before a book goes to print the printer sends samples of the book to ensure pagination and color are satisfactory. The proofs were too dark. I adjusted or repainted on every single page to ensure that the artwork would look as good as it could. Here are before and after samples of the recoloring of the book. I think it was well worth the effort.
Ghost of the Gulag Volume 1 should be ready to ship out by mid October.
Volume 2 of Ghost of the Gulag has started with updates every Monday and Thursday at www.ghostofthegulag.com. In the next chapters we dive deeper into life in the Gulag Prison Camp and will discover how the Tiger went completely blind and how he found a raven friend.
